Internationally trained, she specializes in advanced gastrointestinal, hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB), colorectal, endocrine, trauma, emergency, and breast surgeries, with extensive proficiency in both basic and advanced laparoscopic procedures. She was also part of the pioneering team that introduced single-port laparoscopic surgery. A distinguished academic
achiever, Dr. Bhagwat was awarded the University of Mumbai Gold Medal in Surgery during her MBBS and secured first rank in her MS examinations.
